60 giant fibreglass Gromit sculptures are to be 'Unleashed' on Bristol in July next year.
The dogs, which will stand 5ft tall, will be decorated by a variety of artists and placed in various locations around Bristol. This large public art exhibition works in a similar way to the Fabergé Big Egg Hunt and BT ArtBox, in that at the end of the exhibition the sculptures will be auctioned off to raise money for charity - in this case, Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children's Hospital Charity.
Wallace and Gromit creator, Nick Park said he, "can't wait to see how Gromit will look decorated by so many different artists."
